Christmas Light Show in the Kentlands

Our House

Our home is off the main road, on Little Quarry Road, which is located in a neo-traditional neighborhood development - think of The Truman Show neighborhood. Our house is located on
a one lane two way street, making it challenging to "drive by." Please, no parking in front of the house, park and walk over.

We would classify our Christmas light show as an invisible display. During the day, you would not have any idea that the house has over 20,000 lights (in 2015); however, at night, the fun starts!

2016 Christmas Season Update:

Please check our facebook page for inclement weather closures.

This year we will have over 26,000 lights, in additon to adding RGB LED lights to the show!

10/27/15 update:
This past weekend, I put up some lights, 4,000 to be exact and I ran the reindeer cabling. This was the new addition last year; and a big "Thank You" to my neighbor's who allow me to "use" thier tree!

7/26/15 update:
I have created some new itemes, fixed old items and updated the songs for the additonal lights. Please see the facebook page for pictures and updates.

12/2/14 Update:
Unfortunately, inclement weather will postpone tonight's show.

12/1/14 Update:
Tonight show is cancelled due to water damage. Hope to have it running for tomorrow.

After searching the boards and websites that we DIY Christmas enthusiasts log onto, I have learned that, "inclement weather" means a little bit of rain can add a lot of gremlins to the party. Sorry..... :( See you all tomorrow.

Hard at work, putting up lights, testing lights, fine-tuning the song selection. Busy, busy, busy. :)

Pam Schipper, from The Town Courier is doing a "12 days of Christmas" concept in the local paper. Two articles in October and more on the way.
Channel 7/8's Eileen Whalen is scheduled to stop by on December 5th.

This year, I offered Brandon the option to change the charity that we reecive donations and his response to me was to find a charity that can help people that are depressed. When I asked him why, he responded, "that nobody should be that sad to kill themselves". Therefore, this yea akk donations will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org).

Changed the FM broadcast channel to 93.5.

Mark your calendars, Saturday, November 29, 2014 Annual Christmas Light, Lighting Ceremony. Light show starts at 7 pm and will last 20 minutes. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Hope to see you all.
